Ola Ravn is dreaming of living on his own terms. He decides to build an off-the-grid mini house that purifies rainwater and gathers its own solar power. He wants to prove that you can live both soberly and richly with economic freedom and a sustainable lifestyle. His father, however, thinks this idea is silly and selfish.
off the grid is my first documentary. it was distributed by the Norwegian newspaper aftenposten, and became their second most watched documentary in 2019 with over 50.000 views. it has screened at festivals all over the world and is now available for free online.
